What’s new in Acumatica 2024 R2 – General Business Edition

The new version of Acumatica 2024 R2 contains some exciting new features in the general business edition. As a reminder, the core business edition is the base product before any other industry specific edition features and modules are purchase. So the features introduced in this version apply to all editions of Acumatica. This version contains feature additions in the following areas:

Bank Reconciliation

Acumatica supports multiple bank feed types based on your institution’s capabilities. The software supported most industry standard options such as Plaid, MX and OFX file uploads. This version of Acumatica has introduced the ability to import CSV files from a secure FTP location if your banking institution does not support the already existing Plaid, MX or OFX formats. This feature will allow customers who had to manually import transactions to automatically import them using secure FTP.

In addition to the secure FTP feature, this edition also introduces a critical feature update typically requested by compliant organizations. Approval Maps or the ability to approve reconciliation transactions has been introduced with this edition.

For those not aware of approval maps, Acumatica allows creation of transaction approval processes called approval maps that utilize complex conditions to route transactions to the correct approver thereby ensuring compliance with your business specific and legal/regulatory needs.

This feature ensures that approval processes can be developed and built for reconciliation transactions as well.
